Egil Moller Nielsen brings years of global experience in leading procurement, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain efforts for consumer product, retail and eCommerce businesses. He has also an extensive experience in corporate strategy, turnaround and executive management.
Currently SVP & Head of Business for SmartCentres Inc. eCommerce strategy and new line of business ‘Penguin Pick-Up’, that combines the ease of online shopping with convenience of Brick & Mortar at more than 250 SmartCentres shopping centres.
Prior to SmartCentres, he was Vice President of Global Supply Chain for Mattel-Mega responsible for demand- & supply chain, forecast, logistics, customer service and corporate strategic business plan.
He was also executive supply chain director and COO of Bodum Group in Switzerland, overseeing global quality, new product introduction, costing/pricing, sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, inventory, forecast and distribution
Spend seven years at LEGO head of Global Distribution Logistics, member of corporate leadership team, key contributor and player in the successful turnaround and growth of LEGO Company orchestrated by the CEO, where he lead the global distribution, operations and logistics strategy, which was so successful it is taught at leading universities around the world.
Joined DHL after graduating college, where he was head of sales and corporate customers in Denmark but later relocated to Asia. After DHL he went to ECCO Group where he spent more than four years developing and implementing global logistics and distribution strategy, which was so successful that he was promoted to Group Vice President.
